Like other island areas ,Hainan island used to experience the astonishing volcanic eruptions .the next stop is hainan Volcanica crater park .Let me make a brief introduction about this attraction. It is of the world geological park .
The park lies at shishan town ,about 10km.away from the center of haikou city .our coach is running along haiyu central highway .It takes about 20minutes by bus from haikou city to the Volcanic Crater Park .The volcanic eruptions happened more than 27000 years ago. The remains we can see there have been left since then .hainan Volcanic Crater Park is listed as one of the best-reserved inactive volcanoes in the world .
This volcanic crater is also called Maanling Volcanic Crater by the local people .Ma an means saddle in english .The hill where the volcanic craters are located looks like the saddle ,so the place is named Maanling .Because of the ruins of volcanic eruption the soil in this area is very rich .There are varieties of fruit growing here ,such as litchi,longan ,and carambola .This area is one of the well-known fruit villages .When the fruit is ripe in April and May ,the visitors can enjoy the fresh and tasty fruit .
So far a series of inactive volcanoes have been discovered ,the Maanling Volcanic Crater is the only one that has been built into a park .Outside of the bus you can see the volcanic stones ,some are used as the building material and some are lying around .if you watch them carefully you can find some differences between the common rocks and the volcanic ones .Main differences lies in two :one is color and the other is the face .The volcanic rocks black and have the honeycomb-like face .They are distinctive .

亲爱的各位朋友，我先给大家描述一副场面，看大家可否能猜到这是一种什么现象：在一片一望无际的平原上，突然大地晃动，继而在平原的某一个点突然喷发出一种高温粘稠岩浆，炽热无比的岩浆像条条凶残的火龙，从地下喷涌而出，吞噬着周围的一切，霎时间，方圆几十里都被笼罩在一片浓烟迷雾之中。浓烟散尽，一望无际的平原已经变成了一座座山丘，那是熔岩遇空气而凝固成熔岩石以及大量的火山灰组成的。 对了，有朋友猜对了，这就是火山爆发的震撼场面，那么我们今天将要去的地方呢，是火山爆发后13020xx年之后的场景了。它便是我国唯一的热带海岛城市火山群地质公园——中国雷琼海口火山群世界地质公园。 火山口公园位于海口市秀英区的石山镇，整个火山群面积约为108平方公里。现在的火山口公园以其火山成因之典型、类型之多样、形态之优美、结构之完整，以及溶洞之奇异、矿泉之珍惜、植被之长青而成为重要的地质遗迹，在20xx年时候被评为“世界地质公园”。整个公园由火山农具展览区、演艺广场、山岳配天、马鞍岭火山口这几个部分所组成。当然这其中最具代表性的就是火山农具展示区和马鞍岭火山口了。
火山农具展示区
在火山农具展示区，你可以看到古人用火山石打造的生产、生活用具，如石磨、石臼、炸糖器等，还可以从中了解到海南的火山文化。这里的石头颜色乌黑，有气泡，呈蜂窝状，质地坚硬，是铺设地面的好材料。所以，待会大家进入园中，望眼遥看，整个公园的路面都用火山石砌成，据说赤脚踩上还有按摩消除疲劳的保健作用呢。
马鞍岭火山口
除了火山农具展示区，大家一定要参观的便是马鞍岭火山口了。整个马鞍岭火山口成锥形，南北突起，中间凹陷，远远望去就像是一个马鞍，因此得名马鞍岭。它是我们琼北地区的最高点，也是世界上保存最完整的死火山之一，马鞍岭高222米，深度有90米。我们可以沿着建在火山壁上的小路下行到底部，各种植物自然地生长着，像一幅天然的画壁;抬头仰望飘着浮云的天空，瞬间觉得自己的渺小，心里想着去看外面的世界。大家别看此处“坑”深，可却不会有积水，因为火山石本身就是天然的过滤器，雨水会通过孔隙往下流成为地下水。因此石山火山群有五宝：植被、土壤、石材、温泉和矿泉水。海南很多的优质矿泉水比如我们的“国水”——椰树火山矿泉水，正如它广告中说的那样“一饮椰树矿泉水,方知海南人寿长”，全国第三次人口普查，海南人均寿命居全国之首，和我们的火山矿泉水想必是有密切联系的。用火山矿泉水泡茶更是至清至淳，至柔至甜。其实火山口周围是琼北最缺水的地区，过去当地每户人家屋檐下都摆放着水缸，以保存雨水，因此当地形成了“嫁女不嫁金，嫁女不嫁银，数数门前的水缸，谁家水缸多就嫁谁”的婚俗，是不是很有特色呢? 大家有兴趣的话可登上马鞍岭顶部的观海亭，极目远眺，烟波浩渺的琼州海峡和高楼鳞次栉比的海口市尽收眼底。还有那郁郁葱葱的热带森林，实在是养眼护目。现代的高楼大厦与历经沧桑的古地貌相映成趣，不禁令人满怀伤感。火山爆发带来了肥沃的土质，因此在这里我们可以看到各种茂盛的热带树木，和飘香的瓜果。荔枝成熟季节，千顷荔枝园更是让人
